 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3841

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  3841  on  page  1,
 3    line 18, by changing "shall" to "may"; and

 4    on  page  1,  immediately  below  line  28,  by inserting the
 5    following:
 6        "(e)  No sheriff,  deputy  sheriff,  correctional  guard,
 7    lockup  keeper,  or  any  county  employee who had custody or
 8    control over any person released under the provisions of this
 9    Section shall be liable for any injury of any kind, including
10    but not limited to death, to either the person released or to
11    any third person or party that results from  or  follows  the
12    release  of  that  person  from the custody or control of any
13    sheriff, deputy sheriff, correctional guard,  lockup  keeper,
14    or county employee.".
