 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3093

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3093,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    by inserting below the last line of Section 5 the following:

 4        "Section  7.   The Property Tax Code is amended by adding
 5    Section 10-153 as follows:

 6        (35 ILCS 200/10-153 new)
 7        Sec. 10-153.  Non-clear cut assessment.  Land that (i) is
 8    not located in a unit of local government with  a  population
 9    greater  than  500,000,  (ii)  is  located within 15 yards of
10    waters listed by the Department of  Natural  Resources  under
11    Section 5 of the Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act as navigable,
12    and  (iii)  has  not  been  clear cut of trees, as defined in
13    Section 29a of the Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act,  shall  be
14    valued at 1/12th of its productivity index equalized assessed
15    value as cropland.".
