 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  Unemployment  Insurance  Act  by
 2    changing Section 3100.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.  The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by
 6    changing Section 3100 as follows:

 7        (820 ILCS 405/3100) (from Ch. 48, par. 810)
 8        Sec. 3100. Saving clause.
 9        The General Assembly legislature reserves  the  power  to
10    amend  or  repeal  this  Act  at  any  time,  and all rights,
11    privileges or immunities conferred by this Act,  or  by  acts
12    done pursuant thereto, shall exist subject to such power.

          Amends the Unemployment Insurance Act.  Makes a stylistic
      change  in provisions concerning the powers and duties of the
      Director of Employment Security.  Effective immediately.

 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  Unemployment  Insurance  Act  by
 2    changing Section 1700.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.  The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by
 6    changing Section 1700 as follows:

 7        (820 ILCS 405/1700) (from Ch. 48, par. 610)
 8        Sec. 1700.  Duties and powers of Director. It is shall be
 9     the duty of the Director to administer this Act.  To  effect
10    such  administration,  there  is  created  the  Department of
11    Employment Security, under the supervision and direction of a
12    Director of Employment Security. The Department of Employment
13    Security   shall   administer   programs   for   unemployment
14    compensation and a State  employment  service.  The  Director
15    shall  determine  all questions of general policy, promulgate
16    rules  and   regulations   and   be   responsible   for   the
17    administration of this Act.

19        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect upon
20    becoming law.
