1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to send
3 their condolences to the family of Julio M. Campagni, who
4 passed away on December 29, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, Julio Campagni was a lifelong resident of
6 Highwood, Illinois, where he was born on May 14, 1919; and
7 WHEREAS, Mr. Campagni was the former owner of Bowlarium
8 Lanes in North Chicago; he was the chairman of the Chicago
9 section of the U.S. Golf Association and the Pro tour
10 representative for Northwestern Golf; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Campagni served in the United States Navy
12 during World War II; he was a member of St. James Church in
13 Highwood; he was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in
14 Waukegan, a member of the Lions Club in North Chicago, a
15 member of the Highwood American Legion and V.F.W., a member
16 of the Giovanne Italia Club in Highland Park and a member of
17 of the Highwood Bocce Ball Club; and
18 WHEREAS, Julio Campagni is survived by his loving wife,
19 Lucille; his two sons, David Campagni and wife Josephine, and
20 Victor Campagni and wife Joanne; his daughter, Julie Piacanza
21 and her husband Rich; his six grandchildren, Brian, Vanessa,
22 Anthony and Diane Campagni, and Beverly and Jeff Piacanza;
23 his brother Nello Campagni and his wife Marie; and many
24 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
26 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his
27 family and friends, the death of Julio M. Campagni of
28 Highwood, Illinois; may his family and friends find comfort
29 in this time of need; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
31 presented to the family of Julio Campagni.
