1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of This Body are saddened to learn
3 of the death of Gary W. Fogerson of Decatur, Illinois; and
4 WHEREAS, Gary Fogerson first worked for the Macon County
5 Emergency Services and Disaster Agency, where he was
6 assistant coordinator and then coordinator for twelve years;
7 for the past nine years Gary was employed as the manager of
8 the Decatur Public Building Commission; while working for the
9 Commission Gary oversaw the design, development, and
10 construction of the Law Enforcement Center, the creation of
11 the Macon County Office Building at the old Ambassador Hotel,
12 and recently oversaw the major renovation of the Macon County
13 Building; Gary was also a member of the Illinois Facility
14 Managers Association; and
15 WHEREAS, Gary Fogerson was a member of Central Christian
16 Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and
17 Vacation Bible School assistant; in addition, Gary was also a
18 member of the church's Christian Education Department's
19 Curriculum Study Team, the Operation Department's Computer
20 Technology Committee, and the church's long-range Faithful
21 Planning Committee; and
22 WHEREAS, Gary Fogerson is remembered as someone committed
23 to his family and his faith; his devotion to both was evident
24 in the way he lived his life; and
25 WHEREAS, Gary Fogerson is survived by his loving wife and
26 best friend Julie; his daughter Nicole and son Billy; his
27 father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fogerson; his father
28 and mother-in-law Bill and Shirley McKnelly; his brother
29 Charles; his sister and brother-in-law Cheryl and Ed Brady
30 and their children Matthew and Amanda; and two nieces;
31 therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
2 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his
3 family and friends, the death of Gary Fogerson of Decatur,
4 Illinois; and be it further
5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to the family of Gary W. Fogerson.
