730 ILCS 110/10 from Ch. 38, par. 204-2
Amends the Probation and Probation Officers Act.
Provides that each probation officer, before entering upon
his or her duties must take an oath to support the United
States Constitution and Illinois Constitution before the
Chief Circuit Judge of his or her county (now the oath must
be taken before the county clerk).

1 AN ACT to amend the Probation and Probation Officers Act
2 by changing Section 10.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Probation and Probation Officers Act is
6 amended by changing Section 10 as follows:
7 (730 ILCS 110/10) (from Ch. 38, par. 204-2)
8 Sec. 10. Before entering upon the duties of his or her
9 office, each probation officer shall take and subscribe to an
10 oath before the Chief Circuit Judge county clerk of his or
11 her county to support the constitution and laws of the United
12 States and of the State of Illinois, and faithfully to
13 perform the duties of his or her office.
