Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent
expenses of the Attorney General for fiscal year 1999.

1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Attorney General for
2 ordinary and contingent expenses.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof
6 as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the
7 Attorney General to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses
8 of the following divisions of the office of the Attorney
9 General:

29 Section 15. The sum of $1,128,400, or so much thereof as

1 Enforcement Fund for State law enforcement purposes.
2 Section 20. The following named sums, or so much thereof
3 as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated from the
4 Asbestos Abatement Fund to the Attorney General to meet the
5 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Asbestos Litigation
6 Division:

21 Section 25. The amount of $1,300,000, or so much thereof
22 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Violence
23 Prevention Fund to the Illinois Violence Prevention Authority
24 for administration and grant expenses relating to the
25 Violence Prevention Act of 1995.
26 Section 30. The amount of $2,500,000, or so much thereof
27 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney
28 General Court Ordered and Voluntary Compliance Payment
29 Projects Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for the
30 performance of any function pertaining to the exercise of the
31 duties of the Attorney General including but not limited to

1 enforcement of any law of this State and conducting public
2 education programs; however, any moneys in the Fund that are
3 required by the court or by an agreement to be used for a
4 particular purpose shall be used for that purpose.
5 Section 35. The amount of $250,000, or so much thereof
6 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois
7 Charity Bureau Fund to the Office of the Attorney General to
8 enforce the provision of the Solicitation for Charity Act and
9 to gather and disseminate information about charitable
10 trustees and organizations to the public.
11 Section 40. The amount of $1,000,000, or so much thereof
12 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Child Support
13 Enforcement Trust Fund to the Office of the Attorney General
14 for the review and assessment of the Child Support
15 Enforcement Program.
16 Section 45. The amount of $2,500,000, or so much thereof
17 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney
18 General Grant Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for
19 funding for federal grants.
20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
21 1, 1998.
