(225 ILCS 745/30) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2031) Sec. 30. Powers and duties of the Department. Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Department may: (a) Authorize examinations to ascertain the |
| qualifications and fitness of applicants for licensing as a Licensed Professional Geologist, and pass upon the qualifications of applicants for licensure by endorsement.

(b) Conduct hearings on proceedings to refuse to
|
| issue or renew licenses or to revoke, suspend, place on probation, reprimand, or take any other disciplinary or non-disciplinary action against licenses issued under this Act.
|
|
(c) Formulate rules required for the administration
|
|
(d) Obtain written recommendations from the Board
|
| regarding definitions of curriculum content and approval of geological curricula, standards of professional conduct, and formal disciplinary actions and the formulation of rules affecting these matters.
|
|
(e) Issue licenses to applicants who meet the
|
| requirements of this Act.
