SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Lena Vasile; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Lena Vasile was the main fixture at the Onion Roll 
5Restaurant for over 25 years; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Lena Vasile was known for her sense of humor; she 
7called everyone "honey" and made everyone laugh; her customers 
8loved her and she loved her customers; and

  
 
9    WHEREAS, Lena Vasile was the devoted mother of Katie (Nick) 
10Cassano and Mario (Crystal) Vasile; the loving Nana of 
11Isabella, Nico, Luca, Joey, and Avalena; the dear sister of 
12John Cardone, Louie (Judy) Cardone, Lisa (Pete) Capellani, Vita 
13(Jack) DeCarlo, Jill Gallo, Frankie (Tina) Cardone, and the 
14late Ralph (the late Darlene) and Lenny Cardone; the dear aunt 
15of many nieces and nephews; and the loving and devoted 
16companion of Bruce Alroth; she is also survived by the father 
17of her children, Carl Vasile; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
20family and friends, mourn the passing of Lena Vasile; and be it
