| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Calvin K. Jensen of Milan, who passed |
| 4 | | away on August 29, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Calvin Jensen was born in Benton County, Iowa to |
| 6 | | Cal and Sara (Meskmen) Jensen on September 11, 1923; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, During World War II, Calvin Jensen few 32 missions |
| 8 | | in a B-24 in bombardier group 467; he was awarded the |
| 9 | | Distinguished Flying Cross Air-Medal with 3 Oak Clusters and a |
| 10 | | Certificate of Valor; he retired from the National Guard |
| 11 | | helicopter unit in Mount Joy; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Calvin Jensen held several different jobs at the |
| 13 | | Rock Island Arsenal; he repaired electric loaders, was a train |
| 14 | | engineer, and a crane operator; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Calvin Jensen enjoyed golf, walking the Milan dike |
| 16 | | with his dog, and bird watching; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Calvin Jensen was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 18 | | Barbara Jensen; his parents; his daughters, Billie Hayward and |
| 19 | | Robyn Jensen; his sister, Lillian Fergusen; and his brother, |
| 20 | | Robert Jensen; and
