SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Charlotte Marie Meyers of Alton, who 
4passed away on May 29, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers was born in Alton to William A. 
6and Stella (Haywood) Vohs on December 28, 1922; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers worked at Olin Corp. as an 
8inspector for 45 years, retiring in 1986; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers was a member of the 12th Street 
10Presbyterian Church in Alton; she enjoyed playing bingo and 
11spending time with her children and great-grandchildren; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers was preceded in death by her 
13parents and her brother, William "Bill" Vohs; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers is survived by her children, 
15Albert (Debbie) Meyers, Estelle Vinyard, Marilyn Brumley, and 
16Thomas Meyers; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; 
17therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Charlotte Marie Meyers, and extend our sincere condolences to 
2her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
