| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Larry Wayne Dolan of Moline, who passed |
| 4 | | away on May 1, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Larry Dolan was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin |
| 6 | | to Wayne and Charlene Braithwaite Dolan on March 23, 1947; he |
| 7 | | served with the United States Army in Vietnam and married Mary |
| 8 | | Esser in Dubuque, Iowa on May 13, 1978; he married Marsha Cook |
| 9 | | Rodriguez in Davenport, Iowa on June 27, 1997; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Larry Dolan was a machinist at the Rock Island |
| 11 | | Arsenal for 33 years, retiring in 2014; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Larry Dolan was an avid softball pitcher for 40 |
| 13 | | years; he won a national championship, was a six-time gold |
| 14 | | medalist in the Senior Olympics, and was inducted into the Quad |
| 15 | | City Hall of Fame; he was an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, loved attending |
| 16 | | his grandchildren's events, and enjoyed traveling and eating at |
| 17 | | Taco John's; he was a member of New Hope Church and the Milan |
| 18 | | VFW; he was a very social person who never met a stranger; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Larry Dolan was preceded in death by his first |
| 20 | | wife, Mary; his parents; and two brothers, David and Doug |
| 21 | | Dolan; and
|
