SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of William Arthur Hansen of Deerfield, who 
4passed away on April 2, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, William Hansen was a high jumper at the University 
6of Iowa in the 1970s; he won a Big Ten
championship, earned 
7NCAA All-American honors, and participated in the Olympic 
8trials; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, William Hansen was a valued computer programmer at 
10Kleinschmidt, Inc. for
more than 30 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, William Hansen was known for his devotion to
his 
12family and friends, his dry sense of humor, and his thirst for 
13knowledge; and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, William Hansen is survived by his wife of 33 
15years, Candice; his daughters,
Sarah and Elizabeth; his mother, 
16Irene Frank Hansen; and his siblings, Barb McCauley, Jan 
17Martin, Joan Hansen, Carol
Martino, Paul Hansen, and their 
18families; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1William Arthur Hansen, and extend our sincere condolences to 
2his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
