SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Delores "Ceil" Moore, who passed away on 
4February 8, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Delores Moore was born on October 12, 1936 in 
6Alton; her parents were Harvey and Cordelia (nee Cross) Green; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Delores Moore enjoyed listening to her music; she 
9was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her children 
10and grandchildren; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Delores Moore was preceded in death by her 
12parents; her husband, William Moore, Jr.; her son, William 
13Moore, III; her brothers, Melvin Huff, Harvey Green, Charles 
14Green, and William Green; and her sisters, Betty Parks and 
15Gertrude Latimore; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Delores Moore is survived by her sons, Duane 
17Moore, Sr. and Travis Moore; her daughters, Shelia (Gregory) 
18Moore, Veronica (Corey) Lovett, Kala (Michael) Moore, and 
19Alicia (Clifford) Moore; her 20 grandchildren; her 18 
20great-grandchildren; her 2 great-great-grandchildren; her 
21brother, Richard Green; her special nephew, Ronnie Green; her

1godsons, Christopher Taylor and Bruce Teague; and her many 
2nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Delores "Ceil" Moore; 
6and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Delores Moore as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
