| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Genevieve Edith Pfeiffer of Crystal Lake, |
| 4 | | who passed away on January 3, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Genevieve Pfeiffer was born in Lebanon, Indiana to |
| 6 | | Lloyd Thomas and Edith B. (nee Partner) Sicks on September 3, |
| 7 | | 1920; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Genevieve Pfeiffer was dedicated to many |
| 9 | | organizations, including the Northern Illinois Airstream Unit |
| 10 | | for 40 years and the Kishwaukee chapter of the Daughters of the |
| 11 | | American Revolution; she was a 4-H leader and a long-time and |
| 12 | | active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; she traveled to all |
| 13 | | 50 states and 6 continents and enjoyed playing cards and games |
| 14 | | with family and friends; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Genevieve Pfeiffer was preceded in death by her |
| 16 | | parents; her husband, William; her grandchildren, William |
| 17 | | Commons and Thorsten Fjellstedt; her great-grandchild, Steven |
| 18 | | Commons; and her sister, Major Mary Sicks; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Genevieve Pfeiffer is survived by her 6 daughters, |
| 20 | | Mary Lou (Jerry) Cristy, Patsy (the late John) Commons, Nancy |
| 21 | | (Thorsten) Fjellstedt, Dorothy (the late Warren) Derrick, |
