SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Sylvia Yvonne Lux of Staunton, who passed 
4away on December 21, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Sylvia Lux was born on January 16, 1943 in Granite 
6City; her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Slavco Evangeloff; she 
7married Larry J. Lux on January 11, 1970 in Madison; and

  
 
8    WHEREAS, Sylvia Lux worked as a Sales Associate at Sullivan 
9Drugs in Staunton for many years; she was also the Proprietor 
10of Sylvia's Gifts, Cards, & More in Staunton and taught at 
11Granite City High School; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Sylvia Lux was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of 
13Staunton, and a Board Member of Community Memorial Hospital in 
14Staunton and the Staunton Chamber of Commerce; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Sylvia Lux was preceded in death by her husband, 
16Larry; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Sylvia Lux is survived by her daughter, Sandy Lux 
18(Mitch Turner); her granddaughter, Alexandra Turner; her 
19sister, Marilyn (Don) Nichols; and her many nieces and nephews;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Sylvia Yvonne Lux, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Sylvia Lux as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
