SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Marjorie E. Henriksen of Beach Park, who 
4passed away on November 25, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen was born in North Chicago on 
6April 9, 1949 to John and Jean Twardy; she graduated from North 
7Chicago High School, where she was a cheerleader, and from 
8Northern Illinois University, where she was a member of the 
9Delta Gamma sorority and a pom pom girl; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen was a teacher for 34 years at 
11Andrew Cooke Magnet School in Waukegan; she and her husband 
12were the previous owners of the Fogcutter Restaurant in Gurnee; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen was a member of Holy Rosary 
15Church (now Queen of Peace), where she was baptized and 
16confirmed  and married her husband; she was an active member of 
17Fat Cat Rescue; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen was preceded in death by her 
19parents and her brother, Robert Twardy; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen is survived by her husband of

142 years, Thomas; her son, Jeff (Susan) Henriksen; her  
2granddaughter, Abby Henriksen; her  sister, Barb Twardy 
3Lightfoot; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Marjorie E. Henriksen, and extend our sincere condolences to 
7her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Marjorie Henriksen as an expression 
11of our deepest sympathy.
