| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of George Gulas, who passed away on |
| 4 | | September 17, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, George Gulas served as a medic with the United |
| 6 | | States Armed Forces during World War II; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, George Gulas was employed at the Joliet Rivals |
| 8 | | Club and the Elgin, Joliet, and Eastern Railway before retiring |
| 9 | | from Alumax Aluminum after many years of service; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, George Gulas was a lifelong member of Annunciation |
| 11 | | Byzantine Catholic Church (formerly St. Mary Assumption in |
| 12 | | Joliet), where he served as an usher for many years; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, George Gulas enjoyed gardening, mushroom picking, |
| 14 | | word searches, and vacationing and fishing in Wisconsin with |
| 15 | | his family and friends; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, George Gulas was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 17 | | Isabelle (nee Musich); his parents, Mary (nee Urbanec) and |
| 18 | | Gabriel Gulas; his sisters, Mary (Thomas) Legan, Ann (George) |
| 19 | | Peceniak, and Margie (Burnett) Reimers; and several siblings; |
| 20 | | and
