SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Arthur T. "A.T." "Tom" Preder, Jr. of 
4Mountain  Home, Arkansas, who passed away on July 20, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. was born in Evanston on April 
63, 1943 to Arthur, Sr. and Martha (nee Knox) Preder; he married 
7Constance "Connie" Sanstad in 1964; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. joined the Waukegan Police 
9Department as a patrolman in 1966; he retired from the Village 
10of Lindenhurst Police Department as a Lieutenant in April of 
111993 after serving a total of 27 years as a police officer; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. and his wife moved to Mountain 
13Home, Arkansas in June of 1995; he was a member of the Mountain 
14Home Moose Lodge 1953 and the Elks Club 1714; he enjoyed 
15golfing with his best friend, Butch Weatherby and socializing 
16with friends at Ole Chi Mill and other lodges; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. was preceded in death by his 
18parents; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Arthur Preder, Jr. is survived by his wife of 50 
20years, Connie; his  daughters, Dana Agostinelli and Kimberly

1Poole; his  grandchildren, Joey and Briana Agostinelli;  his dog, 
2Emily (Emma); his sister, Marilyn Preder and her children; his 
3sister-in-law, Pat Smith; and many other relatives; therefore, 
4be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Arthur T. "A.T." "Tom" Preder, Jr., and extend our sincere 
8condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
9him; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Arthur Preder, Jr. as an expression 
12of our deepest sympathy.
