| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Ann M. Kane, who passed away on August |
| 4 | | 27, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ann Kane was born in Joliet on June 17, 1931 to |
| 6 | | Willis and Helen (nee Kiep) Murdock; she graduated from the |
| 7 | | Cathedral of St. Raymond Grade School, St. Francis Academy High |
| 8 | | School in 1949, and the College of St. Francis; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Ann Kane was employed by the Public Service |
| 10 | | Company and was a second grade teacher at Crystal Lawns |
| 11 | | Elementary School in Plainfield; she also spent many years as a |
| 12 | | substitute teacher for the Joliet and Plainfield School |
| 13 | | systems; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ann Kane was a member of St. Paul the Apostle |
| 15 | | Catholic Church; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Ann Kane was preceded in death by her parents; her |
| 17 | | husband, John Joseph "Jack" Kane, Sr.; her 2 sisters, Jane |
| 18 | | (Edward) Holland and Marion (David) Abbott; her brother, Willis |
| 19 | | Murdock; her 4 brothers-in-law, Dr. James (Rita), William, |
| 20 | | Richard, and Gerald Kane; and her great-niece Kathleen Piercy; |
| 21 | | and
