SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Bernice Lucille "Bonnie" Farkas of 
4Lexington, who passed away on June 29, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bonnie Farkas was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin 
6on September 22, 1942 to John and Anita Matthewson Strike; she 
7married Mervin Farkas on November 17, 1962; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Bonnie Farkas and her husband retired in 2006 and 
9bought a recreational vehicle, spending winters at Breeze Lake 
10Campground in Brownsville, Texas; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bonnie Farkas was preceded in death by her sister, 
12Barbara; her brother, Clarence; and her parents; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Bonnie Farkas is survived by her husband of 53 
14years, Mervin; her children, Joseph (Betsey) Farkas and Rebecca 
15(Scott) Hartema; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; 
16her great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews, including 
17Diane, Doreen, and Cynthia; and countless children whose lives 
18she touched through foster care and babysitting; therefore, be 
19it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Bernice Lucille "Bonnie" Farkas, and extend our sincere 
3condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
4her; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Bonnie Farkas as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
