SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Joy Stewart of Harvard, who passed away 
4on June 17, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Joy Stewart was born in Chemung on September 9, 
61913 to Rollo and Lillian (nee Ladd) Burroughs; she married 
7Clarence Steward on January 24, 1937 in Chemung at the family 
8farm; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Joy Stewart was a care giver; she enjoyed 
10croqueting, sewing, knitting, and many other crafts; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Joy Stewart was preceded in death by her husband, 
12Clarence; her parents; and her brothers, John and Ladd 
13Burroughs; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Joy Stewart is survived by her daughters, Carol 
15Johnson and Sue Stewart; her grandchildren, Roy and George 
16Heincig; and her great-grandchildren, Mia, Makena, and James 
17Heincig; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Joy Stewart, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,

1friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
