SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert "Bobby" Wilkins, who passed away 
4on April 19, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins born on August 14, 1970 and raised 
6in North Chicago by Bob and Linda Wilkins; he attended Holy 
7Family Grade School and graduated from North Chicago High 
8School in 1988; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins worked as a maintenance worker for 
10the City of Lake Forest for over 20 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins was an active member of the Most 
12Blessed Trinity Church, serving as Chairman of the Parish 
13Council and singing on  Sundays; he devoted much of his time to 
14Most Blessed Trinity Academy, where his children attend school, 
15as the Athletic Director, as a board member of the school board 
16and parents association, and as a stagehand, set builder, and 
17jack-of-all-trades for many of the school's drama 
18performances; he  was always giving his time and his talents and 
19was happiest when singing in the choir, acting with his wife 
20and kids, or competing in rib cook-offs; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins was preceded in death by his

1grandparents and his nephew, Brennan Wilkins; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins is survived by his wife, Kristel 
3(nee Hamalainen) Wilkins and his 3 children, Teagan, Aiden, and 
4Bryant; his parents; his siblings, Bill (Amy) Wilkins, Kate 
5(Mike) Behring, and Andy (Gail) Wilkins; his parents-in-law, 
6Arne and Marilyn Hamalainen; his brother-in-law, Greg 
7(Melanie) Hamalainen; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, 
8cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
11Robert "Bobby" Wilkins, and extend our sincere condolences to 
12his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
13further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15presented to the family of Bobby Wilkins as an expression of 
16our deepest sympathy.
