SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of T.L. "Dr. Para" Paramanandhan of Spring 
4Grove, who passed away on December 24, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dr. Paramanandhan was born in Nuwara Eliya, Sri 
6Lanka on September 6, 1933 to Mylevaganam and Ratnam 
7Paramanandhan; she married Jay Horton in Palatine in August of 
81983; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dr. Paramanandhan graduated from the University 
10of Ceylon as a medical physician and practiced for over 47 
11years, retiring in 2007; she volunteered her time and expertise 
12at the McHenry County Clinic for 20 years; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Dr. Paramanandhan was preceded in death by her 
14parents; her husband, Jay; and her 2 sisters, Vimaleswari 
15Navaratran and Swarna SenathiRajah; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dr. Paramanandhan is survived by her 2 sons, 
17Andrew Janovski and Nicholas Janovski, Jr., and her 2 sisters, 
18Paremeswari Satkunananthan and Kirubai Jayatilaka; therefore, 
19be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2T.L. "Dr. Para" Paramanandhan, and extend our sincere 
3condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
4her; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Dr. Paramanandhan as an expression 
7of our deepest sympathy.
