| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Annie Lee Ware, who passed away on |
| 4 | | January 18, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Annie Ware was born in Lovejoy on April 24, 1922 |
| 6 | | to Isom and Mollie McCoy; she attended Lovejoy School and was a |
| 7 | | member of Union Baptist Church; she married Hardy Ware, Sr. on |
| 8 | | July 24, 1943; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Annie Ware was active with the parent-teachers |
| 10 | | association, the neighborhood watch, and the Belles Club; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, In 1966, Annie Ware and her family relocated to |
| 12 | | East St. Louis; she joined Southern Mission Missionary Baptist |
| 13 | | Church in 1974; she volunteered for the elementary school lunch |
| 14 | | program, the neighborhood watch, the Salvation Army Women's |
| 15 | | League, the women's ministry, and Church Women United, and she |
| 16 | | was a member of the Grand Court Order of Calanthe; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Annie Ware is survived by her 6 children, Hardy |
| 18 | | Ware, Jr., Harriette Ware, Marvin Ware (Angela), Anthony Ware |
| 19 | | (Charyl), Regina Day (Donald), and Nathan Ware (Regina); her |
| 20 | | sister, Audrey Rivers; her 11 grandchildren; her 5 |
| 21 | | great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other |
