SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert Henry Dilliard of Belleville, who 
4passed away on March 30, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Dilliard born in Dorchester on October 24, 
61922;  he married Winifred Sawyer on August 28, 1943 in Bunker 
7Hill; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Dilliard had several careers during his 
9life; he was farmer, an accountant, a business owner, and a 
10professor; he was particularly proud of his career with the St. 
11Louis Cardinals and enjoyed telling his family stories; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Robert Dilliard was preceded in death by his wife, 
13Winifred; his daughter, Fran; his parents; and his 2 sisters, 
14Pat and Charlene; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Robert Dilliard is survived by his 2 sons, Terry 
16(Beverly) Dilliard and Kevin (Julie) Dilliard; his 4 
17grandchildren, Holly (Paul) Hamby, Abby (Aaron) Dirksmeyer, 
18Kaitlin Dilliard, and Erin Dilliard; his 4 
19great-grandchildren, Alec Hamby, Landon Dirksmeyer, Alexia 
20Hamby, and Kerrigan Dirksmeyer; and many nieces, nephews, and 
21friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert Henry Dilliard, and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Robert Dilliard as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
