SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Irene Gundelach of Marengo, who passed 
4away on February 14, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Irene Gundelach was born in Leydon Township on 
6July 26, 1923 to Walter and Mabel (nee Runge) Butenschoen; she 
7married Warren Gundelach in 1942; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Irene Gundelach worked at Baxter until her 
9retirement in 1986; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Irene Gundelach had a great interest in horses; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Irene Gundelach is survived by her 
13daughter-in-law, Melody Gundelach; her grandchildren, Cheryl 
14Gundelach and John (Tina) Gundelach; her great-grandchildren, 
15Jessica, Kyle, and Ryan; her siblings, Vi (Al) Piske and Walter 
16(Sandy) Butenschoen; and many nieces, nephews, and 
17great-nieces and nephews; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Irene Gundelach was preceded in death by her 
19husband, Warren; her son, Richard Gundelach; her parents; and 
20her siblings, Ella Mae, Lillian, and Elroy; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Irene Gundelach of Marengo, and extend our sincere condolences 
4to her family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and 
5be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Irene Gundelach as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
