| 4 | | "Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 5-12025 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 5-12025. Standards for noise pollution. The county |
| 8 | | board or board of commissioners may establish standards for |
| 9 | | noise pollution in the unincorporated areas of a county; |
| 10 | | however, those standards must be in accordance with, and no |
| 11 | | more restrictive than, the regulations included in 35 Ill. Adm. |
| 12 | | Code 900, 901, 902, and 910. A home rule unit may not establish |
| 13 | | standards, by any means, in a manner inconsistent with this |
| 14 | | Section. This Section is a limitation under subsection (i) of |
| 15 | | Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution on the |
| 16 | | concurrent exercise by home rule units of powers and functions |
