HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Sharon Fawns on the 
4occasion of her 80th birthday on January 26, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Sharon Fawns was born on January 26, 1936 in 
6Springfield; she moved to Williamsville shortly thereafter; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, In Williamsville, Sharon Fawns and her husband 
9were the owners of the Fawns Shell station on Historic Route 
1066; from this station, she employed many young people in 
11Williamsville and operated one of the first concession stands 
12in town; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Sharon Fawns loves her dogs and her community and 
14is always known to have a smile on her face; she is also an 
15active member of the Sweetwater Christian Church; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Sharon Fawns is famous for her turkey and raisin 
17dressing that she makes for Thanksgiving each year and for 
18being one of the first residents of Williamsville to own a 
19microwave; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Sharon Fawns is a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and

1loves to support her favorite team; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Sharon Fawns is the wife of "Junior" Fawns and the 
3loving mother of Brent and Tracey Fawns; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Sharon Fawns is one of the most respected 
5residents of Williamsville and is a bedrock of the community; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
9congratulate Sharon Fawns on the occasion of her 80th birthday 
10and we wish her many more; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Sharon Fawns as an expression of our esteem and 
13respect.
