HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Boy Scouts of America Pathway to Adventure 
3Council supplies unit leaders with the knowledge and tools they 
4need to deliver the best possible Scouting program to youth and 
5young adults in the community to prepare them for life; 
6building strong units  creates strong districts, a strong 
7council, and a bright future; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, The Pathway to Adventure Council spans 2 states, 
9serves more than 26,000 youth members, and includes 9,000 
10volunteers, 7 camp properties, and 4 Service Centers; while 
11Pathway to Adventure Council is new in name, it is rooted in 
12over 100 years of distinguished history, talent, and culture; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The Boy Scouts of America Pathway to Adventure 
15Council is entering a new chapter in the history of its 
16membership; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, This years's theme is "Ignite
the
Fun...Blast
into

18Scouting"; and
  
 
  
19    WHEREAS, On September 17, 2015 a recruitment drive will be 
20held at elementary schools across the State; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3commend the Boy Scouts of America on its character and its 
4drive for equality for all Illinois families; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That we declare September 17, 2015 as "Scouts of 
6Illinois Recruitment Day" in the State of Illinois; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the Boy Scouts of America as an expression of our 
10esteem and respect.
