HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate WSEC/PBS Jacksonville on 
4the occasion of its 30th anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, WSEC/PBS Jacksonville has educated, inspired, 
6entertained, and informed Jacksonville-area viewers for 3 
7decades; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Public television consistently provides viewers 
9with exceptional programming, including programs such as 
10"Downton Abbey", "Riverdance", and numerous Ken Burns' 
11documentaries; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, With the help of educational programs, such as 
13"Sesame Street", WSEC/PBS Jacksonville has offered children 
14the opportunity to grow and develop and has become one of the 
15most trusted sources of children's programming; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, WSEC/PBS Jacksonville is nearing its 1000th 
17episode of "Illinois Stories"; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, WSEC/PBS Jacksonville celebrated its anniversary 
19with a dinner and program on January 31, 2015; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate WSEC/PBS Jacksonville on its 30th anniversary and 
4wish them many more years of continued success; and be it

6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to WSEC/PBS Jacksonville as an expression of our 
8esteem and respect.
