Amends the Illinois Conservation Foundation Act. Ends the terms of the members of the Illinois Conservation Foundation Board of Directors on the date upon which members of the new 12-member board have been
appointed and can begin to take action as a Board. Establishes terms for the new members of the Illinois Conservation Foundation Board of Directors.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Conservation Foundation Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 25 as follows: |
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 880/25 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 25. Terms. Notwithstanding any provision of this Act |
| 8 | | to the contrary, the term of office of each member
of the Board |
| 9 | | of Directors serving on the day before the effective date of |
| 10 | | this amendatory Act of the 99th
General Assembly is abolished |
| 11 | | on the date upon which members of the 12-member board have been
|
| 12 | | appointed and can begin to take action as a board. Members of |
| 13 | | the Board of Directors serving on the day
before the effective |
| 14 | | date of this amendatory Act of the 99th General Assembly may be |
| 15 | | reappointed to
the 12-member board. |
| 16 | | Of those 12 members initially appointed following the |
| 17 | | effective date of this amendatory Act of the 99th
General |
| 18 | | Assembly, 4 shall serve for terms expiring July 1, 2016, 4 |
| 19 | | shall serve for terms expiring July 1,
2017, and 4 shall serve |
| 20 | | for terms expiring July 1, 2018. Thereafter, each appointed |
| 21 | | member shall hold
office for a term of 4 years, provided that |
| 22 | | any member appointed to fill a vacancy occurring before the
|
| 23 | | expiration of the term for which his or her predecessor was |
