Amends the State Designations Act. Provides that the Kankakee Mallow is
designated the native State flower (currently, the native violet). Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The State Designations Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 40 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 460/40) (from Ch. 1, par. 2901-40)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 40. State tree and flower. The white oak tree is |
| 8 | | designated the
native State tree of the State of Illinois; and |
| 9 | | the Kankakee mallow native violet is
designated the native |
