SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Virginia Vidakovic of Winthrop Harbor, 
4who passed away on July 4, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Virginia Vidakovic was born on June 6, 1929 in 
6Waukegan; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Virginia Vidakovic graduated from Waukegan High 
8School at the top of her class; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Virginia Vidakovic was a member of Slovene 
10National Benefit Society Lodge 584; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Virginia Vidakovic enjoyed spending time with her 
12family at home and watching old movies and the Mollie B Polka 
13Show; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Virginia Vidakovic was preceded in death by her 
15husband, Joseph J. Vidakovic; 2 sons, Joseph J. Vidakovic, Jr. 
16and William Vidakovic; 3 siblings, Mary (the late Iggy) 
17Znidersic, Judith (the late Dr. Steve) Sipos, and Eddie Nagode; 
18and her parents, Frank and Mary Nagode; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Virginia Vidakovic is survived by 7 children,

1Nancy (fiance Dr. Jack Chulengarian) Stanley, Pattie (Dave 
2Acred) Beck, Karen (Art) Gesky, Nick Vidakovic, David 
3Vidakovic, Thomas (Martha Bernal) Vidakovic, and Robert 
4Vidakovic; 7 grandchildren, Adam, Joseph, Jenna, Justin, 
5Tammi, Michael, and Cody; 4 great-grandchildren, Alijah, 
6Myles, Katie, and Emily; a sister, Edie (Ron) Kantola; and her 
7beloved dog, Daisy; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Virginia Vidakovic; 
11and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Virginia Vidakovic as an expression 
14of our sympathy.
