SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Mildred E. "Mikki" Reinhold (nee Phelps) 
4of Oak Park, who passed away on May 18, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold was born on July 12, 1914 in 
6Brookfield to Orville and Jennie Phelps; she graduated from 
7Cossitt Avenue School in La Grange and Lyons Township High 
8School; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold worked for years as an executive 
10secretary in Chicago and as the church secretary for 17 years 
11at Congress Park Community Methodist Church in Brookfield; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold enjoyed traveling in both the 
13United States and Canada and also traveled to Iceland; she was 
14the 2004 queen of the Oak Park Arms annual Senior Prom; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold was preceded in death by her 
16parents; her husband, Leonard Reinhold; her brother, Bud 
17Phelps; and her sister, Doris Beintema; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Mildred Reinhold is survived by her niece, Gayle 
19(Paul) Brinkman; her nephew, John Beintema; 8 grand-nieces and 
20grand-nephews; 10 great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews;

1and a host of friends; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Mildred E. "Mikki" Reinhold, and extend our sincere condolences 
5to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be 
6it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Mildred Reinhold as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
