SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  James A. Lewis of McHenry, who passed 
4away on August 18, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Lewis was born on January 26, 1936; his 
6parents were Preston and Martha (nee Zavadil) Lewis; he married 
7Dorothy Kratochvil on October 10, 1959 at Mary Queen of Heaven 
8Church in Cicero; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Lewis worked for United Airlines as a 
10mechanic for 42 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, James Lewis was a member of the Veterans of 
12Foreign Wars Post 4600 in McHenry; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, James Lewis enjoyed spending time with his family 
14and friends, vacationing in Hawaii, and fishing; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, James Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, James Lewis is survived by his wife of 54 years, 
18Dorothy, and his extended family members; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of James A. Lewis; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of James Lewis as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
