SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Norma Jakimiak of Waukegan, who passed 
4away on May 23, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Norma Jakimiak was born on October 29, 1939 in 
6North Chicago and was a lifelong resident; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Norma Jakimiak was a member of St. Anastasia 
8Parish and an active volunteer with the funeral luncheons; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Norma Jakimiak enjoyed spending time with her 
10family and friends, children, dogs, music, and poetry; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Norma Jakimiak was preceded in death by her 
12husband, Joseph Roger Jakimiak, and her parents, Joseph and Ann 
13Luka; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Norma Jakimiak is survived by her sons, Thomas 
15Jakimiak and John (Ola) Jakimiak; 2 grandchildren, Alaina and 
16Rylan Jakimiak; a brother, James Luka; and several nieces and 
17nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her

1family and friends, mourn the passing of Norma Jakimiak; and be 
2it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Norma Jakimiak as an expression of
