| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Rickie D. Grashoff of East Peoria, who |
| 4 | | passed away on June 18, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff was born on May 29, 1949 in Pekin; |
| 6 | | his parents were Walter and Elvira (nee Neisman) Grashoff; he |
| 7 | | married Glenda Sue Bomer on March 13, 2001 in Pekin; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff served his country as a member of |
| 9 | | the United States Navy; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff worked for D.J. Mahoney |
| 11 | | Construction until 1986; he then worked for the Illinois |
| 12 | | Department of Transportation until 2012, when he retired after |
| 13 | | 26 years of service; he was working as a Tazewell County |
| 14 | | Bailiff at the time of his passing; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff was a member of the Twin Oaks |
| 16 | | Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria, Teamsters Local #623, |
| 17 | | and the Republican Party, and he was President of the Teamsters |
| 18 | | Retirement Group; he was named Tazewell County Republican of |
| 19 | | the Year in 2009; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff was a fan of all sports, but |
