SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  John J. Endean, Jr. of McHenry, who 
4passed away on May 17, 2014; and

  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Endean, Jr. was born on September 1, 1934 in 
6Chicago; his parents were John Joseph, Sr. and Bernadette V. 
7(nee Duffy) Endean; he married June M. Hegwood on March 6, 1955 
8in Yuma, Arizona; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, John Endean, Jr. served his country as a member of 
10the United States Navy during the Korean War; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, John Endean, Jr. was employed as a service manager 
12at Sessler Ford in Libertyville, where he worked for over 20 
13years; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, John Endean, Jr. enjoyed camping with his 
15grandchildren and watching football games, with his favorite 
16teams being the Chicago Bears, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 
17and the Navy Midshipmen; and
 
18    WHEREAS, John Endean, Jr. was preceded in death by his 
19parents; his stepmother, Margo; 2 brothers, Dickie and Artie; 
20and 2 sisters, Virginia and Mary Elizabeth; and

1    WHEREAS, John Endean, Jr. is survived by his wife of 59 
2years, June; 3 children, John III (Laurie) Endean, David W. 
3Endean, and Mary E. (James, Jr.) Curran; 7 grandchildren, Nick 
4(Dina), Brian (Michelle), Rebecca (Aaron), Candace (Jason), 
5Cassandra (Steve), Christine (Matt), and Corie (Bert); 5 
6great-grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Chloe, Izak, and Giana, 
7with 4 more great-grandchildren on the way; a sister, Nancy 
8(the late Dusty) Tokuda; and 2 half-sisters, Debbie (Dan 
9Brovarey) Endean and Dawn Endean; therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
12family and friends, mourn the passing of John J. Endean, Jr.; 
13and be it further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15presented to the family of John Endean, Jr. as an expression of 
16our sympathy.
