SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Laura E. McCarthy of Vernon Hills, who 
4passed away on April 27, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Laura McCarthy was born and raised in Highland 
6Park with her 5 siblings and was a lifelong North Shore 
7resident; she later moved to Vernon Hills, where she called 
8home for the past 32 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Laura McCarthy was a parishioner of St. Joseph 
10Catholic Church; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Laura McCarthy will be fondly remembered for her 
12famous cooking, her great storytelling, and her caring nature; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Laura McCarthy is preceded in death by her 
15parents, Louis and Mary Boilini; her beloved husband of 32 
16years of marriage, Merle McCarthy; a grandson, Baby Michael 
17Williamson; a sister, Mary Ugolini; and 2 brothers, John 
18Lenzini and Henry Boilini; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Laura McCarthy is survived by 3 children, William 
20McCarthy, Laura McCarthy, and Mary (Tim) Williamson; 2 sisters,

1Madeline "Lena" Peschman and Ida Santi; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary 
2Esdale and Catherine Boilini; and many nieces and nephews; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Laura E. McCarthy; and 
7be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Laura McCarthy as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
