SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Candace H. Cliff of Grayslake, who passed 
4away on March 14, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Candace Cliff was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on 
6May 20, 1946 to Warren and Lois (nee Binninger) Hewitt; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Candace Cliff worked at Waukegan Savings & Loan, 
8and most recently, SEDOL, the Special Education District of 
9Lake County; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Candace Cliff enjoyed traveling and vacationed at 
11places ranging from Hawaii to the Caribbean to Mexico; she also 
12loved golf and was a member of 2 leagues at Bonnie Brook Golf 
13Course, where she won several championships; in the off season 
14she enjoyed knitting and doing crafts; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Candace Cliff was preceded in death by her 
16parents; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Candace Cliff is survived by her husband, James; 
18her daughters, Christine (Dave) Holden and Laurie Garrett; her 
19step-children, Thomas (Cathy) Cliff and Cheryl (Mike) Flood; 
20her 9 grandchildren; her 3 great-grandchildren; and her

1brothers, Richard (Mary) Hewitt and Michael (Diane) Hewitt; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Candace H. Cliff, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Candace Cliff as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
