| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of James "Jim" Andrew Stupar of Hawthorn |
| 4 | | Woods, who passed away on January 30, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Stupar was born on April 19, 1958 in |
| 6 | | Waukegan to George and Carol Stupar; he graduated from the |
| 7 | | University of Illinois at Chicago in 1979 and married Kathy |
| 8 | | Lockwood in Crystal Lake on June 23 that same year; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, James Stupar spent 30 years with Hollister |
| 10 | | Incorporated in Libertyville, most recently working as a |
| 11 | | Corporate Officer and as Vice-President of Europe, the Middle |
| 12 | | East, and Africa; as part of his career, he and his wife spent |
| 13 | | time living in Melbourne, Australia and London, England; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, James Stupar had a passion for music and started |
| 15 | | playing piano at an early age; he composed numerous songs, |
| 16 | | including several that were to be part of an opera; in 1998, he |
| 17 | | co-wrote and produced a CD and launched a website to support |
| 18 | | the efforts of musicians with ALS; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, James Stupar was preceded in death by his mother, |
| 20 | | Carol Stupar; and
