SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Michael S. Meyer of Springfield, who 
4passed away on September 10, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Meyer was born on April 29, 1983 in 
6Springfield; his mother was Patricia Meyer; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Michael Meyer attended Lanphier High School in 
8Springfield; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Michael Meyer was a graduate of the United States 
10Army Airborne and Army Air Assault School and served his 
11country as a member of the Army National Guard; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Michael Meyer was a member of the American Legion 
13Post # 32; he enjoyed playing with his son, nieces, and nephews 
14and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Michael Meyer was preceded in death by his 
16grandparents, John and Wilma Meyer, and his uncle, John Meyer; 
17and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Michael Meyer is survived by his mother, Patricia 
19Meyer; his son, Jackson Knox-Meyer; his siblings, Amy (Jamie)

1Kavanagh, Stacey (Ray) Bishop, Jaela (fiance, Butch) Newbold, 
2Joshua (fiancee, Samantha) Meyer, and John Meyer; and his many 
3aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael S. Meyer; and 
7be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Michael Meyer as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
