SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Alexander "Alex" Nicholas Petropoulos of 
4Waukegan, who passed away on July 26, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Alexander Petropoulos' fondest memories were of 
6his family's pioneering promotional events held at the 
7well-known Petropoulos Brothers Appliances, Inc. store in 
8Gurnee, which featured Chicago sports celebrities during the 
91960s and 1970s; these events fueled his diehard devotion and 
10unyielding love for the Chicago Blackhawks; and

  
 
11    WHEREAS, Alexander Petropoulos was the beloved father of 
12Lara (Jeremy Criddle) Petropoulos and Jessica Petropoulos; the 
13adoring grandfather of Vance Criddle; the devoted and caring 
14son of Tess and the late Nicholas Petropoulos; the dearest 
15brother to Anthony (Becky) Petropoulos and Sophia (Tony) 
16Petropoulos Grassa; the fond uncle of Sam and Michael Grassa 
17and Nick and Stefanie Petropoulos; and the loving nephew of 
18many aunts and uncles; he is also survived by his many cousins 
19and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
22family and friends, mourn the passing of Alexander "Alex"

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
