SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald Joseph Folz of McHenry, who passed 
4away on July 10, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Folz was born on March 8, 1934, in Chicago 
6to Joseph and Anna (nee Benda) Folz; he married Arlys E. Wright 
7in Park Ridge on February 15, 1958; he served his country in 
8the United States Air Force; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Folz settled in McHenry in 1970; he and his 
10wife owned and operated their own restaurant, Don's Submarine, 
11for 28 years; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Donald Folz was preceded in death by his parents 
13and his sons, Donald Joseph Folz, Jr. and Verne Dean "Dino" 
14Folz; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Donald Folz is survived by his wife of 55 years, 
16Arlys; his son, Ronald E. Folz; his 5 grandchildren; and his 
17brother, Bob (Elizabeth) Smith; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Donald Joseph Folz, and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
