SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Shelby F. Pollock of Belleville, who 
4passed away on July 5, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Shelby Pollock was born on April 7, 1943, in East 
6St. Louis; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Shelby Pollock served his country with pride as a 
8member of the United States Army Reserve; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Shelby Pollock was the owner of Shelby Pollock and 
10Associates Insurance Agency in Belleville for 31 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Shelby Pollock enjoyed spending time with his 
12family and the outdoors; he also enjoyed golf and was a 
13long-standing member of St. Clair Country Club; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Shelby Pollock was preceded in death by his 
15parents, Forrest S. and Margaret I. (nee Settles) Pollock, and 
16his son, Todd G. Pollock; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Shelby Pollock is survived by his wife, Lana (nee 
18Gilliam) Pollock; his son, Rickey W. Pollock; his daughter, 
19Ashley Renee Pollock; his grandson, Kyle Shelby Pollock; his

1sister, Joy (Hon. Frederick) Vollrath; his sister-in-law, 
2Tammy (William) Thomas; his brother-in-law, Danny (Sandy) 
3Gilliam; his niece and nephews, Forrest, Hans, Mark, Angie, 
4Patrick, Michael, Sean, Trent, and Travis; and his many 
5great-nieces and great-nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Shelby F. Pollock; and 
9be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Shelby Pollock as an expression of 
12our sympathy.
