| 3 | | learn of the death of Jack Wooden, who passed away on June 9, |
| 4 | | 2013; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Wooden was born on January 19, 1932, in |
| 6 | | Hartford; his parents were Elbie and Nancy Wooden; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Jack Wooden served in the United States Air Force |
| 8 | | in Cheyenne, Wyoming; following his stint in the military, he |
| 9 | | and his wife moved to the Riverbend area, where they became |
| 10 | | members of First Baptist Church of East Alton and owned and |
| 11 | | operated Woody's Drive-Ins and Atlantis Pools; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jack Wooden was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 13 | | his wife, Catherine; his grandson, Garrett Wooden; his |
| 14 | | brothers, Luther and Edwin Wooden; and his sisters, Beatrice |
| 15 | | Hicks, Anna Milazzo Archer, and Nancy Freeman; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jack Wooden is survived by his daughters, Christie |
| 17 | | and Cheryl Wooden and Candy (Vern) Hurley; his sons, Jeff (Sue) |
| 18 | | Wooden and Jon Wooden; his grandchildren, Adam, Nathan, and |
| 19 | | Audrey Dettmers, Cory, Bethany, Chelsey, and Gabrielle Wooden, |
| 20 | | and Hannah and Olivia Hurley; his great-grandchildren, Lilian |
