SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of William Joseph Thorsen of Gurnee, who 
4passed away on June 28, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, William Thorsen was born on July 31, 1928, in 
6North Chicago to Joseph and Martha Thorsen; and

  
 
7    WHEREAS, William Thorsen was a member of Holy Family in 
8North Chicago; he was President of the school board, District 
964, and belonged to the Holy Rosary Society; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, William Thorsen was preceded in death by his 
11parents and his wife, Jean (nee Madigan); and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, William Thorsen is survived by his children, 
13Lawrence (Pauline), Sharon (Chuck) Bishop, Jon (Laura), and 
14Patrick (Connie); his special friend, Betty Schulz; his 
15grandchildren, Christine (Ryan) Scott, Jamie (Eric) Patmor, 
16Meghan Bishop, Michael (Kristy) Bishop, Phillip Lomeli, 
17Alyssa, Neil, Ryan, Justin, and Austin Thorsen; and 5 
18great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1William Joseph Thorsen, and extend our sincere condolences to 
2his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
