SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Betty June Wolff of Bunker Hill, who passed away on April 9, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Betty Wolff was born on September 2, 1929, in Alton; her parents were Herbert and Opal Marie Masterson; she married Willis C. Wolff Jr. on November 11, 1951, at Zion Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill; and

WHEREAS, Betty Wolff was a homemaker and worked for many years at Rull Hardware in Bunker Hill; and

WHEREAS, Betty Wolff was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Bunker Hill, where she also took part in the Ladies of Zion, the Altar Guild, Vacation Bible School, and worked in the kitchen; she was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies; and

WHEREAS, Betty Wolff enjoyed playing cards, the Alton Theater, and spending the winters in Texas with her husband; and

WHEREAS, Betty Wolff was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; her parents; her brother, Herbert Junior Masterson; and her brother-in-law, Ken Ketzel; and

WHEREAS, Betty Wolff is survived by her children, Charles David (Marla) Wolff and Cynthia Sue (Dan) Bushmeyer; her grandchildren, Thomas Wolff, Cassandra Wolff, Niccole (Mike) Garner, Cody Wolff, Wade (Brittany) Hurley, Miriam Wolff, Troy (fiancee, Jessica Cobral) Bushmeyer, and Jessica Bushmeyer; her great-grandchildren, Sylas Hurley, Wren Hurley, Lilly Garner, Iyla Garner, and Gabriel Bushmeyer; her sisters, Shirley (Dean) Stiegemeier and Connie Ketzel; her sisters-in law, Dorothy Goebel and Marian Owen; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Betty June Wolff; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Betty Wolff as an expression of our sympathy.
