SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Ida M. "Edith" Rathgeb of Carlinville, 
4who passed away on March 21, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ida Rathgeb was born on October 10, 1917, in 
6Beltrees; her parents were John and Mary Bechtold; she married 
7Kenneth H. Rathgeb on January 20, 1940, in Beltrees; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Ida Rathgeb was a homemaker and was famous for her 
9lemon pies; she enjoyed gardening, quilting, and working at 
10Knights of Columbus fish fry events; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Ida Rathgeb was a member of Ss. Mary and Joseph 
12Catholic Church; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Ida Rathgeb was preceded in death by her parents; 
14her husband; her sisters, Eleanor Smith and Helen Bechtold; and 
15her brothers, Leo Bechtold and Ed Bechtold; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Ida Rathgeb is survived by her son, Dave (Deb) 
17Rathgeb; her daughter, Diana (Charles) Carson; her 
18grandchildren, Tessa Hacke and Brianna (Dewey) Alexander; her 
19great-grandchildren, Roman Holt and Rio Alexander; her 
20siblings, John "Bud" (Elaine) Bechtold, Laverne (Sharon)

1Bechtold, Catherine Estrada, and Marie (Laverne) Bergenzer; 
2her many nieces and nephews; and her special friend, LuAnn 
3Leefers; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6her family and friends, the passing of Ida M. "Edith" Rathgeb; 
7and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Ida Rathgeb as an expression of our 
10sympathy.
